The Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association (APPMA), in conjunction with the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP), are pleased to announce that submissions are open for the seventh annual Scholarship program which will enable a packaging engineer the opportunity to complete a Diploma in Packaging Technology.
The Diploma in Packaging Technology is an internationally recognised qualification for those wishing to pursue a career in the packaging industry, or for those who are already in the industry and who wish to extend their knowledge and expertise.
The Diploma in Packaging Technology is a Level 5 qualification that prepares students to take responsibility for packaging operations at any level through the supply chain and can also lead to higher level study.
The 2014 APPMA Scholarship was awarded to Aleah Back, Packaging Engineer, Johnson and Johnson Pacific.
According to APPMA Chairman, Mr Mark Dingley “Aleah is an ideal candidate for the scholarship as she has shown a huge interest and commitment in undertaking the Diploma in Packaging Technology. She has both academic and practical expertise in the industry and is keen to expand her Technical Education in the Packaging Industry. Aleah not only has an interest in packaging but also the engineering process and she has had the opportunity to learn about injection technology, in-mould labelling and advanced robotic production systems.”
