PKN Packaging News talks upskilling to drive sustainable packaging success, with Ralph Moyle FAIP, CPP, AIP Education Coordinator and winner of the WPO’s 2021 Lifetime Achievement award.
In this episode, Lindy Hughson, managing editor & publisher of PKN Packaging News, and Ralph Moyle winner of the World Packaging Organisation’s 2021 Lifetime Achievement award, discuss the importance of investing in employee training and sustainable business practices for a company’s bottom line.
The discussion moves on to the importance of training and how companies that fail to invest in their staff are missing out on significant returns on investment and losing opportunities to improve their business.
Ralph also talks about the training courses available from the Australian Institute of Packaging and their continual updates to accommodate online delivery and changes in the industry.
They close out the episode with Ralph’s views on the importance of sustainability, aspects of the circular economy that are yet to be solved and the increased effort that will be required to reach the 2025 National Packaging Targets of 100 per cent reusable, recyclable or compostable packaging.
He wraps up with the need to reduce food waste, some of AIP’s greatest achievements and his advice for everyone in packaging.
