Having served the industry for over 40 years the AIP Diploma in Packaging Technology is internationally recognised as the premier qualification in the packaging industry and is available to all APF Associations and their Members across Asia. The Diploma is a Level 5 PIABC, 51-credit foundation degree-level qualification that prepares students to take responsibility for packaging operations at any level through the supply chain and can also lead to higher level study. Students who successfully complete the AIP Diploma in Packaging Technology are equipping themselves for progression within the packaging industry to a position where they can assume responsibility for packaging in a company at any point in the supply chain.
What is the Harry Lovell Award?
In 2006 the AIP Board of Directors, acknowledging the important role of education and training, established the Harry Lovell Award in recognition of the commitment and contribution of the late Emeritus Professor Harry P. Lovell OAM, FAIP to education and training over thirty years in the Institute, and in particular to the Diploma in Packaging Technology. The Harry Lovell Award is presented to graduates of the AIP run Diploma in Packaging Technology who have achieved exemplary results in their examinations. This award is not awarded each year and is only presented to outstanding students in packaging technology. The Harry Lovell Award has only been presented seven times since 2006 and is the most prestigious award for academic excellence in the AIP.
The AIP is pleased to announce that it has been recently awarded for the first time to a Member in the Philippines – Leanne Tan Dip.Pkg.Tech. MAIP CPP, Packaging Technologist, San Miguel Yamamura Packaging Corporation.
According to the AIP, Leanne has displayed remarkable tenacity, remained very focussed and determined to succeed and exceeded all their expectations. She has an enquiring mind that drives her to always learn beyond the course content. In an unprecedented event Leanne sat all 4 exams at once over two days, which the AIP does not believe has ever been achieved before. Not only did Leanne sit all four exams at once, she passed with merits and distinctions. This is an outstanding result, and certainly well deserving of the Harry Lovell Award.
