INNOVATIVE PACKAGING DEVELOPMENTS FROM DIAGEO AUSTRALIA:

When looking at the main purpose of packaging, the fundamentals of packaging teaches us that packaging should first and foremost protect the product. So, in looking into innovative packaging development, we sometimes focus on the new and improved versions of packaging concepts, but what if we use our knowledge and experience to change how people look at a brand by changing the type of packaging generally used.

.

A background in Food Technology saw Marlene starting her career at KWV in the winelands of Paarl, South Africa. After thirteen years at KWV, Marlene and family immigrated to Auckland, New Zealand and started working at Pernod Ricard New Zealand until mid-2007 when the family again immigrated to Australia. Three years with Casella Wines then led to a move to DIAGEO in Sydney. Marlene's main focus includes understanding the relationship between packaging and product as well as the interfaces between packaging and production line.
