PKN Packaging News and sister media brand Food & Drink Business are excited to announce their fourth Women in Packaging Forum, run as a virtual event this year and in partnership with the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP). It will take place as part of the AIP packaging conference, and is free to all registered attendees of the conference.

..

L_Weine_WIP2021_400pxThe forum starts at 9.00 am sharp, with keynote speaker Louise Weine,  CEO of the National Association of Women in Operations (NAWO), talking to the topic Diversity Dialogue: We need action now!

.

Louise Weine is a leader, change maker and facilitator with more than 25 years’ management and leadership experience in large global organisations, in her own consulting practice and in the not-for-profit sector. Her strong passion for women’s equality is linked to her desire to see workplaces thrive, with inspired, innovative, and engaged people.

.

Weine worked for BHP and Colgate Palmolive for 16 years in senior HR roles partnering with manufacturing and supply chain. In 2009, after her third child, she established her own consultancy, Equilibrium Consulting, advising her clients in people and culture strategy.

.

Most recently, for the last six years, she has led the not-for-profit NAWO as national director and CEO.

.

NAWO’s vision is to see gender diversity valued and balanced at every level in operations. Membership is drawn from manufacturing, mining, supply chain, construction, agriculture, electricity and gas, and professional scientific and technical industries.

.

Following the keynote will be a panel discussion on Next Gen Leadership: Claiming a seat at the table.

The panellists include: Jessica Ansell AAIP, marketing manager at O F Packaging; Nina Ngyuyen, CEO of Pakko; Caitlyn Richards, group responsible sourcing manager, Coles Own Brand; and Azadeh Yousefi AAIP, packaging designer, Production Packaging

.

Expanding the theme Diversity Dialogue, the forum will explore how unlocking the potential of women in the workplace can lead to business growth, and will look at different initiatives in Australian companies designed to make positive change for women employees.

.

The event will provide insightful dialogue demonstrating how women in our industry navigate their roles and responsibilities and make a positive contribution to the workplace.
