ABOUT:
The Rethink Centre is part of a working industrial site devoted to waste and recycling. The site includes a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) and is only 7 kilometres from Melbourne’s CBD.

MATERIAL RECOVERY FACILITY TOUR
As a part of the tour you will visit a working Material Recovery Facility and see what happens to the contents of your household recycle bin. Find out what a Material Recovery Facility is and how science and technology play a part in sorting used newspapers, cardboard boxes, jam jars, soup cans and soft drink bottles and cans into paper, glass, steel, plastics and aluminium ready for reprocessing.

TIME:
09.00 am arrival for a 9.15 am start
This site visit will take approx one hour - All attendees to meet at the main reception for the tour.

AIP Members $15 inc GST
Non-Members $25 inc GST

OH&S:
All attendees must wear flat-soled enclosed shoes.

The Rethink Centre is part of a working industrial site and as such visitors, for their safety, should:

Parking for cars is available in Banksia Street opposite Osney Avenue, Bellfield. Entry to the walking/bike path that leads to the Rethink entrance is on Banksia Street, opposite Osney Avenue. See site location and visitor access instructions. Only street parking is available.

Visitors must use the gateway intercom system and wait outside the entry gate until welcomed by a Rethink Centre guide. If, when you arrive, you have any questions about access or parking arrangements, please call 9490 4500 for assistance.
