Australia’s first industry insight reports for the Save Food Packaging Design project as part of the Fight Food Waste CRC have been released by the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP), in partnership with RMIT.  AIP executive director Nerida Kelton MAIP shares the key findings. Every year 1.3 Billion tonnes of food is wasted or lost around the world, representing one third of all food produced for human consumption.  Yet sadly close to 800 million people live in hunger across the globe every day.  The global pandemic has also brought the issue of food insecurity much closer to home in developed countries like Australia.
