About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic, self-motivated, experienced individual to join our highly successful Sales team based in Bankstown, as our NSW/QLD Business Development Manager.

To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 10 years’ proven industry sales experience and/or packaging in the Australian FMCG and/or Pharmaceutical industry.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and growing sales in the FMCG/Pharmaceutical markets of Selpak
  • Presenting our range of products to prospective customers
  • Identifying business opportunities that exist outside of our current customer base
  • Working with our customers, developing strong business relationships to gain an understanding of their needs and ensure that the appropriate commercial and technical support is provided
  • Participating in industry events/meetings and conventions to consistently keep abreast of new technologies and industry regulations
  • Establishing sales and business plans
  • Ensuring consistent communication with internal stakeholders

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Demonstrate sales success in the relevant industries
  • Be an autonomous self-starter who uses their own initiative and lateral thinking in solving customer issues
  • Proven presentation skills and business acumen
  • Relevant and demonstrated experience and contacts in the FMCG and/or Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Be able to travel both domestic and overseas
  • Full drivers licence
